Our Story
Founded by a team of experts Energy Storage Partners was created with a clear goal: Focus on acquiring battery energy storage system (BESS) projects at or near NTP and bring them to commercialization.
ESP invests in proven, commercially viable projects & technologies that will generate predictable cash flows with a pipeline of battery energy storage systems (BESS) projects ranging from 150 Megawatts-200+ Megawatts in development to acquire. BESS projects provide a critical service helping the power grid stabilize load imbalances & increase electric reliability. BESS allows existing power generation facilities (traditional and renewable) to become more efficient, stable and predictable, supports development of new power generation projects (traditional and renewable) along with supporting development of electric intensive projects such as data centers .

Our experience allows us to quickly identify and understand the financial and technical feasibility behind new opportunities, creating unparalleled efficiencies and capital savings in the origination process. We serve as an asset owner, manager and developer overseeing the relationships and projects sourced from our extensive network, from the point of origination, through the investment of acquiring ownership of the asset, construction and operations period, until a sale of or retirement of an asset
Our Advantage: We keep a lean operation focused on origination and execution, acquiring projects needing the capital to reach commercialization. Most platforms focus on in-house project development, which is capital intensive, time-consuming and limits efficiencies at scale. Our platform provides for scale and reach, by leveraging decades of experience via partnerships with multiple firms who have in house teams focused on BESS development. We mitigate risk by acquiring projects from developers who bare the cost and risk of all early-stage development until we have certainty of project viability and a clear path to its commercialization. We look for projects that have line of sight on interconnection, completion of facility studies, major permitting, zoning and environmental analysis. We partner with O&M, EPC, analytics and optimization partners that guarantee project delivery, up-time and revenue optimization
