Our Story
Founded by a team of experts Energy Storage Partners (ESP) was created with a clear goal: Focus on acquiring battery energy storage system (BESS) projects at or near NTP and bring them to commercialization.
ESP invests in proven, commercially viable projects & technologies that will generate strong cash flows with high performing nodes and has a pipeline of BESS projects ranging from 150 Megawatts-200+ Megawatts in development to acquire. BESS projects provide a critical service helping the power grid stabilize load imbalances & increase electric reliability. BESS allows existing power generation facilities (traditional and renewable) to become more efficient, stable and predictable, the development of new power generation projects (traditional and renewable) along with supporting growing consumer and commercial electrical demands and development of electric intensive projects such as data centers

Our mission: To deliver high-quality BESS systems to help the power grid stabilize load imbalances & increase reliability as electric demands increase. Electrical power generation can be intermittent, inefficient and unreliable, especially renewable facilities, causing supply-demand gaps & price volatility.
Our Process: ESP aggregates high-quality projects and opportunities nationwide from strategic relationships with long standing business development partners and through managements deep network of industry stakeholders including developers, bankers, lenders, investors, financial institutions, industry consultants, insurers, analytic firms and some of the world’s leading engineering, procurement and construction companies.

Our Advantage: We keep a lean operation focused on origination and execution, acquiring projects needing the capital to reach commercialization. Most platforms focus on in-house project development, which is capital intensive, time-consuming and limits efficiencies. Our platform provides for scale and reach, by leveraging decades of experience via partnerships with multiple firms who have in-house teams focused on BESS development. We mitigate risk by acquiring projects from developers who bear the cost and risk of all early-stage development until we have certainty of project viability and a clear path to its commercialization. We look for projects that have line of sight on interconnection, completion of facility studies, major permitting, zoning and environmental analysis. We partner with O&M, EPC, analytics and optimization partners that guarantee project delivery, up-time and revenue optimization.
